DUAL DAC ARCHITECTURE
Evo Era brings together two independent digital decoding systems: Delta-Sigma
and discrete String R-2R. Choose the architecture that best suits your music and listening preferences.
DUAL ES9069Q
Two ES9069Q DACs operate in mono mode within a fully differential architecture, delivering wide dynamic range, fine detail and precise digital-to-analog conversion.
Evo Era brings the analog architecture of the Evo One flagship player to an All-in-one DAC and Headphone Amplifier.
Choose between two hybrid tube timbres—Velvet and Lumina—and a Fully Transistor signal path,
each offering a distinct sonic character.
Built around a pair of KORG Nutube 6P1 tubes, the circuit combines a buffer stage, a tube voltage-gain stage, and a buffer driver stage to deliver refined, expressive performance. An independent JFET constant-current source circuit in the source load enhances drive capability and control, bringing together tube warmth and solid-state precision. With two selectable sound signatures — Velvet and Lumina — listeners can tailor the presentation to suit their preference.
Warm, harmonically rich sound with
pronounced even-order harmonics, ideal for vocals and relaxed,
expressive listening.
A clear, transparent presentation with
strong definition and evenly balanced harmonics,
well suited to a wide range of musical styles.
In FULLY TR mode, the signal path is driven entirely by a fully discrete transistor amplification circuit, bypassing the Nutube stage to deliver exceptional clarity, speed, and control.
A four-channel, fully balanced amplifier combines operational amplifiers with discrete power transistors to deliver low noise, strong transient response and sustained driving power. Adjust the Gain and Power Amplification Mode to suit your headphones’ sensitivity and impedance, as well as your listening preferences.
Connect a compatible USB Power Delivery (PD) power supply and select DC INPUT in the menu. The external supply powers Evo Era directly, unlocking its full headphone output power.
Measured through the 4.4 mm balanced headphone output using Delta-Sigma decoding.
Results vary with measurement conditions, decoding mode and analog operating mode.
Combining a CD player, DAC and Headphone Amplifier, Evo Era fits naturally into a wide range of listening setups.
Listen directly through headphones, or connect to powered speakers,
a headphone amplifier,a preamplifier or an external DAC.
The 3.5 mm and 4.4 mm analog outputs
feature intelligent connection detection for convenient everyday use.
Evo Era brings CD playback, USB audio and Bluetooth together in one system. Rediscover your CD collection,
enjoy your digital library or play your streaming favorites from a compatible computer, smartphone or tablet.
01 / CD PLAYBACK
Choose a disc. Press play. Rediscover an album. A custom CD mechanism and dedicated servo system handle disc reading and playback, while physical controls and a clear display make track selection, playback modes and time information easy to access. Bring your CD collection back to the heart of your listening system.
CD RIPPING
Connect a compatible USB storage device and select CD RIP to save the music from your CDs as lossless WAV files.
*Ripping operates at 1× speed. Audio output is unavailable during ripping.
Dedicated switches and knobs put DAC Mode, Analog Timbre Circuit, Gain and Amplifier Power Mode directly at your fingertips. Explore different combinations to find the sound that suits your headphones, your music and your preferences.
From opening the lid and loading a disc to selecting a track and shaping the sound, Evo Era brings the hands-on pleasure of physical media to a complete, intuitive listening system.
The top-loading CD compartment features a magnetic closure for easy disc loading and removal. Open, load, close and play—each step celebrates the familiar ritual of listening to physical media.
Fine knurling provides a secure grip and a reassuring tactile feel. An ALPS potentiometer works with the NJW1195A volume-control IC to adjust the listening level.
CNC-machined from 6063 aluminum alloy, Evo Era’s chassis combines structural strength with a refined tactile finish. A 200-grit glass-bead blasting process creates a fine matte texture, while the slim 29 mm profile completes its elegant form.
With a built-in 10,000 mAh battery, Evo Era brings hi-fi listening beyond your desk—from room to room and wherever you go.
During CD playback, battery life reaches up to 14 hours through the 3.5 mm headphone output in TR mode, or approximately 9 hours through the 4.4 mm balanced headphone output in a hybrid tube mode. Actual battery life varies with headphone load, volume and operating mode.
A dedicated leather carry case is included as standard. Designed to fit Evo Era, it helps protect the chassis from everyday scratches and minor knocks, while the shoulder strap makes it easy to carry. The display, playback buttons and volume knob remain accessible with the case fitted, so you can check playback information and operate key controls without removing it.
